Following a phenomenal weekend box office performance, Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, had a sharp decline in demand during the following week. On Tuesday, it dropped even more, with India's total collections down to as little as $10 crore nett.
The film's poor word-of-mouth appears to be the cause of the low numbers. Adipurush has drawn criticism for its dialogue and for giving the Hindu epic Ramayana a contemporary spin.

According to early estimates, the movie only made 10.80 crore in India on Tuesday across all languages, according to a post on Sacnilk.com. The movie only made $20 million on Monday at the domestic box office after a weekend gross of $220 million. According to the production company T-Series, the movie's global gross revenue as of Monday was at 375 crore. Additionally, Tuesday's statistics show signs of a freefall.

Manoj Muntashir, the dialogue writer, stated on Sunday that the producers would "revise some of the dialogues" in response to the criticism.
